How it started?
The idea was born out of an experience where one of my close friends was forced into intimate relations, which is very unfortunate. She was depressed for quite some time because of that incident. However, most of them in closed societies experience such traumas and bear it in silence without being able to share their incidents with anyone, making me want to try make a difference as a 16 year old student.
I believe everyone should have the capability to understand and protect their basic rights. Therefore, I decided to launch an awareness and public education campaign about healthy, respectful relationships.

What we do?
Changing the dynamics around sexual consent requires a multi-faceted approach, involving education, cultural shifts, and legal protections. At 4consent we try to raise awareness and educate people through our online webinars and resources (e.g. podcast and articles). As well as that, we have a discussion space where members of the community can share opinions together or chat to us directly through the chat box. Making a change in sexual consent is an ongoing process that requires collective effort from individuals, communities, institutions, and governments, we are doing our part towards bringing positive change in society.
Consent is not negotiable; it is a fundamental human right that must be respected and upheld.
